Background
Currently, Stag Lane Clinic is inappropriate to provide the wide range of Primary Care Services required by the local population of Queensbury and Kingsbury.
The new Kingsbury Primary Care Centre is to be sited down the road to a site currently known as Roberts Court . This centre aims to provide care for the local population of approximately 8000, of which there are a growing number of females between the ages of 25 – 49 years. The ethnic mix of the population highlights the prevalence of chronic diseases such as Diabetes and Chronic Heart Disease.
Vision
Health education and promotion will become a sustainable part of the healthcare provision along with availability of space of space for local community groups to support isolated members of the community. The new service developments will be aimed at reducing health inequalities often faced by the growing number of refugees and asylum seekers in this area.
