Sudbury Primary Care Centre

Background

Primary Care services were provided from a community health clinic and a GP practice to the population of Sudbury. This local population consists of a high number of refugees and asylum seekers, carers and people who represent ethnic and minority groups who are often marginalized and excluded. This development takes into consideration the impact the proposed new construction of the Wembley Stadium site will have upon the local population.

Site Location

The Sudbury site is situated on the southwestern part of the Vale Farm Sports Ground, which features a number of facilities including a swimming pool, running track, and local football and tennis clubs.

There is excellent access to car parking and public transport. The site is accessed from the Watford Road between East Lane to the north and the Harrow Road to the south.

Vision

The design of the new facility will create a landmark building, and is to include a high level of design flair to provide a welcoming environment for both patients and staff whilst retaining functionality and confidentiality at all times.

The new PCC will be inextricably linked to this leisure service and will work in partnership to improve prevention of disease and rehabilitation of chronic conditions.
